A dozing and preening Common Snipe - Gallinago gallinago

I was really lucky with this bird. I noticed it dozing and crept up to photograph first from one side then the other. It paid me almost no attention until I was about 3 feet away. Then it flew a few yards further on and began preening. A lucky day.
